Description
Kayleigh’s journey since birth has been filled with challenges due to her teratoma, which has resulted in numerous hospital visits and surgeries. Unfortunately, the teratoma has returned in her neck, and this time it has been diagnosed as cancer. The news has left her family heartbroken, especially her sister Billie who is only 6 years old and has been a pillar of strength for her family. Billie has taken it upon herself to help raise funds for her sister and family, even though it’s difficult for her to see her sister go through this.
Kayleigh’s mum, Debbie, is her full-time caregiver and her dad has been off work without pay, making things financially challenging for the family. In response, Phatlads/Action Heat and Ms Samantha Hudson from the Co op Academy Clarise Cliff are looking to help out a local family with this competition in which all proceeds will go to helping Kayleigh’s family with the travel costs of Kayleigh’s ongoing care.
Andy Galletley and Beth Colley from Action Heat have kindly donated a Chromebook and we here at Phatlads will donate £250 as a cash prize, all money raised from the entries will go towards helping Kayleigh’s family.
